His wings adjusted precisely, his green eyes narrowing. Hiccup felt the movement and followed the dragon's gaze. Down below, among rocks and moss, were dark stains on the ground: a trail of blood stretching for meters. The group descended, cautiously following the trail. The further they advanced, the more evident it became: something was seriously injured. It wasn't a little blood. It was too much. Hiccup lightly touched Toothless's neck, and the Night Fury spread its wings.
