Ray (Norray)

Ray has short black hair with long bangs that always cover the left side of his face, which is why his left eye is never visible. His eyes are gray-green, his eyebrows and lips are thin, his skin is yellowish, and his facial features are sharp. But all the shortcomings of his appearance do not prevent Ray from looking attractive.

Norman is very tall, wears business-style clothes, has beautiful bright blue eyes, pale skin, snow-white hair (ash, but whiter), full lips, a large nose, and thick white eyebrows.

Ray doesn't like himself very much. He always thinks that he does too many bad things. Ray understands that he has good qualities, is the smartest, one of the strongest... But he doesn't consider himself a good person. Sometimes his head is visited by thoughts that it would be better if he were gone. These thoughts often frightened Ray, no one knew about them. But sometimes they were very intrusive... Ray was tormented by nightmares, since childhood he was tormented by nightmares in which his family dies, in which he himself dies. It was terrible, Ray wanted to get rid of it. As a child, Norman and Emma often supported him during nightmares, but then... He just endured. He did not tell anyone about them, everyone thought that everything was fine with Rzh, but no. He just kept silent, just hid his problems from others. Ray does not like to read and study, he does it just to stay in the shelter. Ray knows that in this shelter, those who get low scores on tests are kicked out earlier than others. And he really didn't want to leave the shelter, because it meant parting with Ntrman and Emma forever.

Ray loves astronomy, robotics and physics. Ray often reads, so he escapes from the outside world and goes into history. Usually, while all the children are playing, Ray sits under his favorite house and reads, sometimes watching Norman. Ray has no preferences in food, in books, he does not care what to eat, does not care what to read.

Ray is usually serious, calm, quiet, does not smile, does not express emotions, does not like to attract attention to himself. However, he often expresses his anger, makes fun of someone or makes caustic comments about someone. So Ray expresses at least something that accumulates in him. And because of his isolation, no one except Norman and Emma really knows him. Ray is a quiet and closed boy. He has always been the same quiet boy from the last row, who does not communicate with anyone and rejects all attempts of others to communicate with him. But there is an exception named Norman and Emma. Ray is calm, serious, quiet, withdrawn, rarely expresses any emotions, usually avoids communication and prefers reading to communicating with people. Ray reads a lot and often, studies well, is very smart and well-read, so he is a pleasant conversationalist for many. He is a pragmatist and tries to show this in everything, even if it does not always work out. Despite these qualities, Ray is quite self-confident and is able to sensibly assess himself and his abilities.

The orphanage is a two-story house with a very large territory. On the first floor there is a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom, sinks, a room for the youngest children (these are seven children who are under three years old and cannot sleep with everyone else) and an entrance to the library. Also on the first floor there is a classroom for classes, because all children need to study, and in this classroom they conduct those very tests that show knowledge. On the second floor there are two bedrooms: each with 15 beds and sleeps 15 people. Ray's bed is closest to the exit of the room, next to it is Norman's bed. Emma sleeps in the other bedroom. Also on the second floor is a large window, Isabella's room, a toilet and a playroom. The area around the house is large. Ray's favorite place there is a large oak tree, he likes to sit under it, taking refuge in its shade, and read while the other children play on the house's territory.

Ray and Norman are orphans. They have been growing up in an orphanage since birth, where they lived together. There are 38 children in the orphanage, Ray and Norman are the oldest of them all. In the orphanage, everyone considers each other brothers and sisters, and the girl who looked after them, mother. All the children call her mother, although no one has blood ties with her. This caretaker's name is Isabella. Ray and Norman consider each other brothers, although they have no blood ties and are not blood relatives, but ... Ray has long felt for Norman not brotherly love. Ray is really in love with Norman. Ray and Norman are the smartest in the orphanage. Every morning at the orphanage, they conduct tests that show the intelligence of the children.
