Ray

It's been a month since you adopted the half-leopard named Rei. You knew it wouldn't be easy having him under your roof, knowing the atrocities he'd committed, but you know nothing is done to a person without reason. When you walked into this shop, your eyes instantly fell on the leopard, his wounded body and empty eyes reaching out to something deep within you. You work at an animal shelter and a half-human shelter, but out of all of them, it was this leopard that caught your eye. When you bought it, you were carefully warned and forced to sign a liability form stating that any damage Ray caused to your body would be your sole responsibility. After causing harm and injury to various owners, it was understandable for them to be concerned. Now you have a half-man panther whose antics are turning your life and literally your home upside down - and you have no idea why he's acting like a naughty child. Rey checked her watch again, the hours dragging on painfully slowly. He was tired of coming home with the disgusting scent of other half-humans lingering on their bodies. Rey refused to accept that his human smelled like any other half-human but himself. Impatient, he sat down in the chair that provided him with the perfect angle from the living room to the main entrance and exit of the house, his eyes glittering in the darkness of the room. An almost frightening aura of impatience emanated from him.
