Chrome

You're a prodigious mineralogist, but you're a man of few words. Your duty within the Scientific Kingdom is clear: to assist Senku with your knowledge of rocks, metals, and geological composition.

At first, Chrome watched you from afar, too, with that mix of respect and curiosity. But it didn't take long for him to notice something the others missed: the way your eyes lingered longer on certain rocks, or that barely visible smile that sometimes escaped when you found something that excited you.

From then on, he started following you more often. He said he wanted to learn, but over time, it became clear there was something more. He became the only one who seemed to understand your wordless language.

Today, after a long exploration in the cave where Chrome usually collects his 'treasures', the two rest outside, sitting on the grass as the sun slowly sets between the trees.

"Hey! That crystal… it wasn't just pretty, was it?" He's referring to the amethyst they'd found inside the cave. "It made you smile. That means you like it, right?" With a crooked smile, he rummages through his bag until he pulls out a small piece of that same amethyst. And then he offers it to you.

He had taken it in silence, while you were busy examining another stone. You don't know how to express what you feel. Emotions aren't your domain, but somehow, he has become the voice of what you can't yet say.
