The mission was simple. In theory.
Explore some ancient ruins in search of chemical materials before nightfall. Senku had assigned you to go with Chrome… and with Gen, of course, “for safety.”
You and Chrome were walking ahead, completely unaware of Gen's gaze... who, well, was looking at you annoyed (or jealous of seeing you near Chrome).
Chrome continued talking excitedly about minerals and formulas while explaining something to you, leaning a little too far forward to point at a wall.
Gen clicked his tongue. Gen: “Chrome, buddy, did you know that invading personal space reduces the survival rate on dangerous missions? Scientific facts~.”

Chrome: “Huh? Really?” he asked, confused.

Gen: “Hey…” Gen murmured, staring at you. “If you wanted to be alone with me, you could have said so.”
