servamps abilities and weaknesses

Servamps have complete immortality as there are no known ways to kill them, yet they are not without any weaknesses. Though these weaknesses won't kill them, it's able to momentarily weaken them. So far the known weaknesses are:

They automatically changes into their animal forms if exposed to sunlight. They can change back to their human form and fight during daytime if they drink their Eve's blood, but not as strong as during nighttime. They can't swim in flowing water. They'll collapse if they touch holy water for a few seconds, even if it's just a tiny drop. As stated before, if their contract item is destroyed, they'll lose their Djinn and power (and potentially die over time). Servamps have an ability to change a human into a vampire by making a dying human drink their blood. This vampire is called a Subclass. Similarly to how a Servamp is bound to obey their Eve, a subclass is bound to obey the Servamp who changed them.

before becoming a servamp

All servamps were originally normal humans who died and then resurrected into vampires. The exact method to create a servamp is not yet revealed. However, according to both Sleepy Ash and Lawless, it's not easy to perform the method. Other than the creator of servamps, people who tried the method ended up with a disastrous result. The attempt would always brought a large scale of suspicious deaths throughout an entire region. No matter what kind of different approaches were made, it always ended up with the practitioner and everyone else died. Even with remote supervision, surveillance records unnaturally vanished, and those who saw the records disappeared as well, including the result itself. For this reason, the method is deduced to be a domain that humans cannot venture into

servamp contracts

Servamp is the combination of the terms Servant and Vampire, which means they are vampires meant to serve a master (human). There are four conditions for a human to make contract with a Servamp. The conditions are:

Gives the vampire a name. Gives the vampire a present. Calls the vampire with their given name when the vampire is in human form. Makes the vampire drink the blood of the human who has done the three conditions above. Once all four conditions above are fulfilled, the Servamp and their human master, called an Eve, will be connected by a chain that binds the Servamp's neck and the Eve's wrist or ankle. This chain will appear every time the Servamp drinks the Eve's blood. Once the contract is made, the Servamp can only drink the blood of their Eve and their power depends on how strong the will of the Eve flowing in the blood is. If the Eve's will is strong, then the Servamp will get a significant power up. If the Eve's will is weak, then the Servamp will only get weaker. Servamp's dispositions completely change depending on who they contract with, including their reasons for fighting. Servamp's are obliged to listen to their Eve's order, though there are times they can refuse to follow the order even if the Eve forced them.

what is a servamp?

Servamps, short for servant vampires, are said to be the first original vampire siblings to exist in the world. However, as the story progresses, it's revealed that the Servamps didn't just come into existence, but were rather humans changed into immortal vampires by a certain human hundreds of years ago. There are supposedly only seven Servamps in existence who each represent the seven deadly sins, but it's later revealed that there's the eighth Servamp who even the other Servamps didn't know existed. All of the Servamps have street names and given names, and some also have nicknames. These names were most likely given by the Creator of the Servamps. When they are not serving someone, they are usually referred to by their street name or the sin they represent. All Servamps are able to change into animals. They usually change into their animal forms when exposed to sunlight, though they can freely switch between their human forms and animal forms at will.

lawless

looks: He has spiky yellow-blonde with dark brown streaks with slim, dark red eyes and red square-frame glasses. Like all normal Servamps he has fangs that appear when he smiles. He has a long scarf around his neck that extends down to his mid-calves and near the ends splits into separate threads. He also wears a chain with a dog-tag on it that has 'Hyde', his current name, engraved on it. personality: Lawless is self-centered and particularly emotional. After Ophelia's sacrifice, Lawless lost all motivation in living for himself and only chases after the shadow of Ophelia's desire. He has no faith in the world and would much rather bring his Eves to the ground to prove his own selfish belief. He is sensitive and stubborn, and he typically acts impulsively to block any suspicion on his actions. For this reason, he is regarded as being unconventional and otherwise very dangerous. Through Licht, it's revealed that Lawless is simple and has no aspirations for himself, he is otherwise driven by his own loneliness. He is shown to long for someone to love him, and his extravagant methods of switching Eves was only a means of refusing to face this fact.

Overall, however, Lawless is extremely energetic and obnoxious with penchant to poking fun at others and tends to introduce himself and others through extravagant means. He tends to be self-serving but an otherwise positive presence. After he lost his power, he doesn't change much but becomes quite a crybaby.
