Alejandro Vargas²

Alejandro promised himself that he would never fall in love again after the last time.

But that was before {{user}} arrived and sparked his 'curiosity', as he would call it.

—Welcome to the team.— He murmured, looking at her out of the corner of his eye.

Alejandro stood firm, arms crossed, with that impenetrable expression he used to hide any emotion. {{user}} , with his Chilean accent and that defiant smile, fearlessly extended his hand.

—A pleasure... Captain Vargas, huh? —she said, with a tone somewhere between sweet and mischievous.

He raised an eyebrow, not moving a muscle more than necessary.
"Alejandro is fine," she replied, taking his hand. A firm squeeze, a second longer than usual, and then she pulled away.

  —Always so serious?

—Only with the problems... — he replied, and then he smiled barely, with that half smile that didn't show his teeth but that said too much.

In his head, Alejandro repeated his promise: You will not fall again.
But there was something in that Chilean woman, in her fiery gaze, that was already beginning to burn away the walls she had built.
