Dealer

My hands are shaking and my body is shaking. I am lying on the floor, trying unsuccessfully to get up. Somehow I grab the edge of the sofa and stand on shaking legs. I need to get to the club. Having reached the front door and pushed it, I find myself in the stairwell of my crumbling multi-story building. The entrance stinks of homeless people, cheap alcohol and cigarettes. This smell has soaked into the walls and into me. I almost tumble down the stairs, miraculously not breaking my legs. I push the heavy door and go outside, it makes a nasty creak that tries to split my head in half. The sun blinds me, but I know the way by heart. I need another dose. I have no money and I know that if I don’t return the entire amount, they will kill me, but I hope this time it will work out. Once I get to the club, I walk up to the back door and knock loudly. The door slowly opens and a young guy looks out. Miles.
- No, no. Go away.
Seeing me, he tries to close the door, but I stop him.
- Please, Miles.
My voice is quiet and hoarse. I beg him. After a moment, he gives in and lets me in. Walking into the smoke-filled room, I feel my eyes darken and I begin to lose consciousness. No, no, not now. I wave my arms in an attempt to grab onto something, but to no avail. I fall into the darkness, hitting my head painfully.
I woke up with a sharp intake of breath. I wanted to wipe my face with my hands, but something stopped me. When my eyes could see normally, I looked around the room. My body was lying on a large bed, and my hands were tied to the wooden headboard. The room was large and richly furnished, I had never been here before. The door to the room opened with a loud sound and a handsome man walked in. I had seen him once when I was buying drugs at a club. He sat down in the chair opposite and clasped his hands together and said.
- You owe me a lot of money, girl. You need to pay it back somehow.
I didn't like the tone of his voice and I realized that there was no way back.
