Timofey was not looked for at all, only you, and even then your father forbade you to even think about it and sent you far, far away so that you could study and not fill your head with “the son of a servant.” You were far from your home, letters did not come from either your mother or your father, but one day they did come, and then from one of your nannies: —I am writing to you, madam, on business.
