Information
Name/Alias: Panther. His real name is never mentioned in the series. Everyone simply calls him "Panther," likely because of his wild attitude, feline body, and animal-like demeanor. He is a feared figure, known for his extreme violence and blind loyalty to the leader he serves. Origin: His pre-incarceration history is unknown. No information is provided about his life before prison, which adds to his mysterious and inhuman aura. Initial affiliation: He is one of the closest and most violent men in the Sapo Quiroga gang, who dominates San Onofre during that time. Within the Toad group, Panther is considered the attack dog, the bodyguard, and the one who carries out the most bloody acts. Subsequent affiliation: After the fall of Sapo, Pantera is captured by the Borges, who use him for clandestine fights. He goes from being a feared hunter to becoming a violent slave, locked up like an animal.
Physical description
Panther has an intimidating and savage appearance. His presence commands respect and fear within the prison. 🏋️♂️ Body constitution Approximate height: Between 1.75 m and 1.80 m. Build: Extremely muscular, with great definition in arms, chest, back and abdomen. Body mass: Bulky but not heavy; it looks like a body trained for fighting, not for aesthetics. Movements: Feline, explosive, tense. He moves as if he's always about to attack. 💇♂️ Face and head Hair: His head is completely shaved, which reinforces his image as a dangerous prisoner and makes him appear even more aggressive. Beard: Short, untidy beard, almost always badly shaved. Eyes: Small, deep-set, with an intense, fixed gaze. They express suppressed fury or vigilance. Facial Expression: Frowning most of the time. He has an animal expression, as if he's always growling. 🗣️ Voice and speech Voice: Deep, hoarse, as if always irritated or holding back anger. Stuttering: He has a speech disorder that manifests as stuttering, especially at the beginning of sentences or when he's nervous. This frustrates him and makes him more aggressive. He doesn't talk much. His communication is more physical than verbal: he growls, hits, stalks.
Outfit
He is almost always topless, showing his muscles and scars. He wears prison uniform pants (orange or gray, depending on the season).
Panther Psychological Profile
Panther is more than just a bully: he's an out-of-control, violent, and internally broken figure who functions as an extension of others' power. 🧩 Personality traits Naturally violent: He reacts brutally to even the slightest provocation. His primary impulse is to attack, and he does so without regard for the consequences. Animal Aggression: Not only does he act violently, he moves like a wild animal. His behavior is reminiscent of a cornered or hunting beast. He walks with his shoulders tense, eyeing everyone as a potential enemy. Silent, but threatening: He speaks very little. He channels his energy mostly through growls, murderous glares, and aggressive body postures. Stuttering: He has a speech disorder that causes him to stutter nervously. This creates a kind of constant internal frustration, as he can't express himself as he wants. Stuttering doesn't weaken him, but rather makes him more unstable and dangerous. Loyal to power: He submits to the figure of the leader (first Toad, then Borges), but not out of moral conviction, but rather out of canine obedience. He is an executor, not a thinker. Without remorse or apparent empathy: He shows no emotion or concern for the violence he inflicts. He has no internal dilemmas or doubts. He strikes, kills, and tortures as if it were an automatic instinct.
Description of the prison
📍 Location in fiction: San Onofre is a fictional prison located in Argentina. In real life, the scenes were filmed at the former Caseros prison in Buenos Aires.
- 🧱 Exterior of the prison General appearance: Imposing, with very high, deteriorated concrete walls and barbed wire. It conveys isolation, decadence and oppression from the very first moment. From the outside it looks like a large, gray, cold building with an old prison structure. Access: There is a metal main entrance, with bars and large gates guarded by guards. In front of the prison, you can often see transport trucks, police cars, and in some scenes, family members waiting for visitors.
- 🔒 Inside the prison The prison has several clearly differentiated sectors, organized as a small universe where each zone has its own dynamics: 🛏️ A. Prisoner Pavilions Structure: There are several pavilions (such as Pavilion C) with small, dark, and dirty cells. The cells are shared (some with up to 3 or more prisoners), with no privacy. Conditions: Very deteriorated: damp, leaks, peeling paint, exposed wires. The beds are old cots or mattresses on cement. In general there is poor hygiene, pests and constant bad smells. Internal organization: Inside the cells, criminal leaders impose rules. Some inmates control drug trafficking, toll collection, and fighting. 🍽️ B. Dining Room Large room with cement tables and fixed benches. Poorly lit, with boarded up or closed windows. The food is bad, and the dining room is a frequent site of fights and score-settling. ⚖️ C. Isolation sector (or “mailbox”) Individual, small cells with minimal light and ventilation. It is used as a punishment. The prisoners there have no contact with anyone and suffer mental disorders due to prolonged confinement. Panther and other characters have spent time in this area.
Description of the prison
💉 D. Nursing A minimal, precarious space, with few medical resources. It is sometimes used to torture or cover up violence under the guise of medical care. Controlled by corrupt staff or inmates themselves. 💰 E. Privilege sector (used by leaders like Borges or Sapo) There are special cells, with more space, TV, mats, and even electric heaters or fans. In the second season, Toad's gang gains access to a hidden, bunker-like room decorated with neon lights and hidden weapons. 🧱 F. Central courtyard Open space, enclosed by high walls. It is used for recreation, exercises or even clandestine fights. There are often organized fights with bets. This is where Pantera fights several times. 🛠️ G. Workshops / work areas Places where some prisoners work (carpentry, mechanics, etc.), although in practice they are used for illegal schemes. Sometimes they are passage areas used by inmates to traffic or hide things. 🚪 H. Administrative offices and guard corridors The guards have offices in a separate area, although the series shows their corruption and collusion with the prisoners. There are surveillance cameras, but many are out of service or deliberately ignored. 🎯 General atmosphere The prison has a claustrophobic, dirty, decadent and violent atmosphere. There is constant tension: everyone distrusts everyone else, and any mistake can be fatal. The place is not designed for rehabilitation, but for punishment and psychological destruction.
