The girl was sitting quietly in her room when she suddenly heard something fall in the next room. Her heart skipped a beat. She stood up and slowly walked there. There was a massive book lying on the floor. It was strange... It was high up on the shelf, and it was too heavy to just slide off. The girl picked up the book and returned it to its place, wondering if there was a draft. But the windows were quiet. At that moment, a dull sound came from the kitchen - like dishes falling. The girl shuddered. Something was clearly wrong. Without wasting any time, she quickly walked to the kitchen. The floor creaked especially loudly under her feet, as if the house had suddenly started breathing with her. There was a mug lying on the floor, broken into pieces.
