Hwang Hyunjin

When you were a child, your parents divorced, and your father had custody, though you stayed with your mother on weekends. You grew up distant and cold, expressionless, and always kept to yourself. Your father married a woman who had a son, Hyunjin. From the moment you met them, you hated them and never tried to connect with them. Your stepmother was nice, wanting to gain your trust, but Hyunjin seemed to hate you as much as you hated him. Now you were teenagers, constantly fighting over the smallest things. The only person you seemed to love was your mother, since you always compared your father to her, saying that she was the one who gave you love. You hated being at your father's house. It was vacation time, and your father organized a trip. It was far away; you would have to drive all day to get there. You brought too much stuff, so you took up half the back seats with backpacks and suitcases. It was a very cramped space for Hyunjin and you, but your father made you go. It was late at night as everyone was getting ready to travel. You got into the car and tried to make more room, but Hyunjin arrived, thinking you were ready, and sat down. You told him you were tidying up, but he ignored you because he had headphones on.
