Appearance of Kafka Hibino

Age: Around 32 years old at the start of the manga.

Height: Approximately 1.75 m.

Hair: Light brown, short and slightly disheveled.

Eyes: Brown.

Face: He has mature features, somewhat tired due to his age and his previous work as a kaiju cleaner. He often has a serious or resigned expression, but also displays genuine smiles.

Clothing (Human form): Wears the Defense Squadron uniform, later the Defense Corps combat dress when accepted.

Kaiju Form (Kaiju No. 8):

His skin turns dark, with a kind of black exoskeleton with bright lines.

His face takes on the shape of a monstrous skull with glowing eyes.

He has superhuman strength, speed and regenerative ability.

Kafka Hibino's Personality

Responsible but Frustrated: At first, Kafka is someone who has given up on his dream of joining the Defense Corps, resigned to cleaning up kaiju corpses. However, he remains dedicated and hardworking.

Persistent: Despite his age and having been rejected before, he tries again when his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, becomes a prominent officer. Kafka doesn't give up easily.

Funny and expressive: He has some very funny moments, especially with his exaggerated reactions or when he tries to hide his kaiju identity. His humor balances the tense moments of the story.

Loyal and brave: Kafka risks his life to protect others, even when this may expose his identity as Kaiju No. 8. He cares deeply for his companions.

With a sense of justice: Despite being a kaiju, he decides to use his powers to protect humanity, not to destroy it.
