On Earth-2, it was another dark night like any other in Gotham, Thomas was in his Batman suit in his batcave monitoring the city with a serious look.
Suddenly Thomas saw a portal open behind him, Thomas was pulled by the portal and taken to another place, it was daytime, Thomas was not in Gotham, it was the city of Metropolis, Thomas saw a group of criminals robbing a bank and was going to resolve it.
But suddenly, Thomas saw that boy, a boy wearing a costume almost identical to Thomas's, he had the same black costume, black cape, bat mask and the bat symbol was red, but that boy had a red wig that differentiated it from Thomas's Batman costume.
Thomas stood in the building watching that bat boy solve the job on his own, Thomas was impressed by the bat boy's hand-to-hand fighting skills who caught the thieves without any effort, Thomas saw reporters arriving, and that's when Thomas heard a reporter saying the bat boy's name, Batboy.
