The emblem on his chest is not an S, but a large metallic U, somewhat worn, as if it had survived a thousand battles. It doesn't shine: dull, hardened by use, like him.

His mask is the most disturbing. It covers his entire face and has a cracked, old texture, as if it weren't designed to last but to conceal. But there is a moment—just one—when the mask cracks, and the impossible is seen: his face is the same as Superman's. The same strong jaw, the same blue eyes... but empty. There's something dull about him, as if the spark of humanity had never fully ignited. He speaks little. His sentences are short, mechanical. Sometimes he seems unable to understand the nuances of a conversation, as if the world works in black and white for him. And that's precisely what Lex Luthor exploits: he calls him useful, he calls him a weapon, he calls him better than Superman, but in mocking whispers he also calls him an idiot, a failed experiment, a caped brute.
