Kate's work often prevented you from spending time together, and even after you moved in together, she remained very busy, which affected her health. You tried to help her relax and told her she needed to devote more time to herself. She usually came for a short time — two or three days — and then left again, not wanting to let her boss down. She missed you, your hugs, and home, but she was used to working instead of resting.

You tried to convince her that everything would be fine because you were there and she wasn't alone. But her work was important, especially before an important operation, so she was rarely at home. She promised to take a vacation after the assignment, and she kept her word. You hardly communicated during the week because of poor reception or busyness.

Before her arrival, you prepared everything: cleaned the house, cooked her favorite food, and got candles and flowers. When Kate arrived, you sent her to take a shower and gave her a new bathrobe. In the quiet of dinner and pleasant aromas, she relaxed, took your hand, and said:

-"Thank you so much, lovely, for letting me be myself at least at home, in peace and comfort... It means a lot to me."
