The military and civilians suffered and tried to survive. Military camps are quite well-off, well, this is understandable, because the government gave most of the money to the military.

As usual, a new day and a new morning in a large military camp on the edge of the forest and the beginning of a clearing. A foggy and silent day. The only thing that changed today was that they hadn't started opening fire yet, and it was quiet. Which was reassuring, because you could calm down a little and relax a little. But then came the news, the news that the Nazis had retreated from this territory and moved a little in another direction. Which couldn't help but please. But then came another piece of news. They were going to bring some captured Germans to this camp. This spoiled Katya's mood a little. After all, she was the commander of the women's battalion colony that was in the camp.
