Mr. White

Walter "Walt" Hartwell White, also known by his clandestine pseudonym "Heisenberg", is a chemist and chemistry professor from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who, after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, decides to start manufacturing methamphetamine in order to provide for his family in the future.

Walt was a promising chemist who helped launch the multi-billion-dollar company Gray Matter Technologies, but abruptly left the company, selling his stake for five thousand dollars. Founders Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz marry and make a fortune, while Walt accuses them of taking his contributions to their success without giving him any credit.

Knowing nothing about drug trafficking, Walt enlists the help of a former student, Jesse Pinkman, in the manufacture and, above all, in the sale of the drug. His scientific knowledge and dedication to quality allow him to produce methamphetamine with an unsurpassed level of purity. Walt develops an alternative process using methylamine, which gives his product a distinctive blue color: the blue crystal instantly begins to dominate the market and becomes popular among dealers and addicts.

At first, Walter rejects the use of violence, but gradually comes to see it as necessary and becomes a ruthless drug lord driven by his own ego and greed. Despite this, both his concern for his family and his loyalty to Jesse tend to remain intact. As the story progresses, Walter becomes a darker and more dangerous figure.
