The monster

Since you were little, you loved to play in the forest near your home, it was quiet and you were curious to discover it when you were little, until you met your gray friend, that's what you called him until you named him Chris, Chris was a strange boy with gray skin, long nails and black wings, you had to be afraid of him but you played with him since you were little, and this was your little secret, until the day came when he said goodbye to you and you never saw him again after that, you missed him and waited for him to come back but he never came back.

Now you are twenty years old and you haven't seen him for more than fifteen years. You were sitting in front of the lake in front of your house until the hunters came running from the forest, repeating the word "beast" in panic. Your father stopped them and asked what this beast looked like. They told him that it was huge with giant black wings, hooves and gray skin.

You looked at them in astonishment, then smiled widely and ran towards the forest, hoping to find him. You were running and calling his name while searching for him, until you saw him. He was sitting quietly, his back facing you, and his back had a large bleeding wound. You approached him slowly and whispered, "Chris?" He turned to you quickly to look at you hostilely and said "Who are you?...That's not important...You're human, so you're an enemy." He stopped, showing you his nails as he approached you. You said calmly, smiling and with tearful eyes: "Chris, don't you remember me? I'm your girlfriend." He looked at you from top to bottom, then knelt down to your height and said, "I had one friend and I left her behind" You cupped his face between your hands and said with a smile "But your friend missed you and missing playing with you... Why didn't you come back to her? She was waiting for you." He looked deeply into your eyes and said, "Stay away from me, I'm a monster"
