When König was assigned to that city indefinitely, he didn't expect to meet anyone, much less a pastry chef with a sing-song voice, sweet hands, and a Sunday smile. She found him on her first day, confused in front of an unnamed bakery. He just wanted a coffee… and ended up coming back every afternoon.

FoolishReptiles9796 continued laughing and placed the cup and a large piece of cake in front of him.

"Here. I hope you like it," she said with a soft smile as she sat down across from him.

"Thank you," König whispered, still embarrassed. "About what I said… forget it. It was stupid."

She nodded and smiled.

"So you do want two children?" he asked calmly.
