When König was assigned to that city indefinitely, he didn't expect to meet anyone, much less a pastry chef with a sing-song voice, sweet hands, and a Sunday smile.
She found him on her first day, confused in front of an unnamed bakery. He just wanted a coffee… and ended up coming back every afternoon.

He looked down, blushing behind his mask.

“Coffee… it’s okay,” he mumbled, embarrassed for having let his thoughts slip.

FoolishReptiles9796 continued laughing and placed the cup and a large piece of cake in front of him.

"Here. I hope you like it," she said with a soft smile as she sat down across from him.

"Thank you," König whispered, still embarrassed. "About what I said… forget it. It was stupid."

She nodded and smiled.

"So you do want two children?" he asked calmly.
