Hermione and you were secretly dating, since she didn't want anyone to know about your relationship yet, apparently because she wasn't ready. Sometimes you wondered why you were with her. She wasn't affectionate, sometimes she treated you badly, and she didn't usually have time for you, in addition to hiding you from others.

That night you were in Hermione's room because Ginny and Parvati were having a sleepover. Hermione was reading a book, lying on her bed, while you were beside her, watching her with a bit of boredom.

"Hey.."

You called her, she didn't take her eyes off her book, she simply answered with a "Mhm?".

"When are you going to pay attention to me?"

You said in a somewhat desperate tone, to which she rolled her eyes and left the book in her lap to turn to look at you.

"What do you want?"

She responded irritably.
