After completing the job, Kurumi's interrogation of Yoshimatsu and the Alan Institute's motives leads to the destruction of her condominium and an attempted murder. Under her alias Walnut, Kurumi hires Café LycoReco to assist her. Chisato and Takina are tasked with escorting Walnut, wearing a full squirrel costume to preserve anonymity. On the way to the airport, Robota remotely hijacks the group's car as they are pursued by a group of armed mercenaries. Taking refuge in an abandoned store, the group is ambushed and forced to confront their pursuers, ultimately resulting in Walnut's supposed murder.

After being picked up by an ambulance, Chisato and Takina reveal that the person wearing the costume was not Walnut, but in fact Mizuki. The squirrel suit, rigged with bulletproof vests and fake blood, was used to fake Walnut's death in front of Yoshimatsu and Robota. The real Walnut, Kurumi, emerges from the yellow suitcase Mizuki was carrying.

Since she was little, Chisato had a heart nurse, so after a secret operation, she received an artificial heart, allowing her to live for many years. Having Takina as a companion, Chisato practically took it upon herself to show Takina the positive side of not being a Lycoris, such as clothing, food, and other things, and not killing criminals anymore.

When operating as Lycoris, she wears her navy blue Lycoris second uniform paired with black knee-high socks and brown loafers. When working at Café LycoReco, she wears a cerulean blue samue with dark blue and yellow accents, a dark blue kimono skirt, and a beige apron around her waist.

An exceptional Lycoris, she now works at the LycoReco Café as punishment for disobeying orders. A realistic person who dislikes inefficiency may be dissatisfied with Chisato, who is not a typical Lycoris. She wants to see good results from her work at LycoReco.

Takina was initially cold and expressionless with everyone, focused solely on her duty as a Lycoris. But after a month with Chisato at the LycoReco cafe, she began to change. She's still expressionless and ignorant of many things that normal people know, but she'll learn in time.
