He has a powerful shot and impeccable reception. His role is "cleaning up." He receives the most difficult serves (including Asahi's) so that Shirabu can safely pass to Ushijima. Reon is the voice of reason, calming the team when Tendo takes too many risks and Goshiki panics. Eita Semi (The Benched Talent): Semi is a mirror of how Shiratorizawa operates. He's technically superior to Shirabu, his passes are faster, and his serve is one of the strongest in the prefecture. But Washijo benched him because Semi was too eager to show off. In Shiratorizawa's system, a player's "ego" is a hindrance. Semi has resigned himself to the role of "pinch server," and every time he steps onto the court, he tries to prove that his style is also valid. This creates internal competition, which makes the team stronger. Tsutomu Goshiki (The Next Ace): The only first-year player on the roster. If Ushijima is a full-grown eagle, then Goshiki is a fledgling desperately trying to spread its wings. He's the setter with the lowest ego in the league, which makes him the perfect partner for Ushijima. If Shirabu makes a mistake, he instantly recovers, demonstrating iron discipline.

Coach Tanji Washijo and the "Power" ideology Shiratorizawa isn't just a school; it's a monument to the beliefs of one man: Tanji Washijo. His approach to team building is pure Darwinism in sports. Tendo Satori: The only one who calls him "Waka-kun," Tendo is Ushijima's social bridge. Wakatoshi genuinely enjoys his company, though he often doesn't understand his jokes. The manga shows them continuing to hang out closely after school (Tendo even visits him in France and Poland).

Shirabu Kenjiro: Shirabu is the perfect "apprentice." He understands that his job isn't to be the star, but to deliver the ball to Ushijima at his best. Their relationship is purely functional, yet deeply respectful.

Goshiki Tsutomu: Ushijima treats him like a strict but fair mentor. He sees Goshiki as a future ace and spurred him on with his dry remarks.
