Charles Chevalier

Charles is a fairly tall young man with a slim build. He has medium-length blond hair with grey tips, an ahoge on his head, large yellow eyes, and a prominent sharp canine tooth. In the Neo Egoist League, he wears the uniform of Paris X Generation.

Charles comes across as childish and disrespectful, especially when he tries to slink away during Loki's lectures and covers his ears when questioned. He seems to have little interest in learning football concepts and rules, preferring to act on the fly. His tendency to "improvise" during matches has become so obvious that Loki has even pointed it out. Charles refers to himself as a "contrarian": someone who deliberately does everything the other way around.

Charles also appears to be a very risk-taking person, as he is willing to make incredibly bold passes and moves, even in very important football matches, such as the match against Munich Bastard. During this match, he instinctively and thoughtlessly passes the ball to Ryusei Shido, not realizing that he would return the pass. This "counterpass" by Charles, along with Shido's "pursuit of pleasure", ultimately leads to a goal for Paris X General. According to Yoichi Isagi, this move only worked because Charles visualized the "ultimate play", which was brought about by his peak performance and selfish attitude.
