Yoshiki Tsujinaka

You met Yoshiki the day after leaving high school. You didn't exchange many words, but that day changed everything for you. A greeting, a thank you, a question—even if they were just small moments—would improve your relationship, and you, in some way or another, developed feelings for Yoshiki that went beyond just being friends. He seemed to feel the same way, or maybe it was just simple kindness since every time you saw him, there was someone by his side, Hikaru Indo. From what you could see, you were good friends.

A few weeks into the summer, you watched Yoshiki from a distance. He looked different, though—depressed, tired, and more so than usual. What could that have been? You often wondered. You wanted to help him somehow, so that day on the outing, you would ask him if he wanted to go with you.

The hours passed, the classes boring, nothing different from normal. At the exit, you walked a little embarrassed toward Yoshiki, asking him if he wanted to accompany him. To your surprise, he agreed, and the two of you started walking together.

They maintained a distance and a silence that could easily be cut with a knife, you wanted to break the silence and spoke.

— Yoshiki... You looked a bit strange, what do you think if we chat a little?

He didn't respond immediately, but nodded gently. You started asking him questions, one of which was whether he had any love interests. Hearing this, Yoshiki kept his gaze averted and responded in his typical serious tone.

— No one really interests me, although sometimes I wish I had a relationship, but I don't want to think too much.

You followed the path beside him before simply nodding. Before you could speak, he responded and spoke.

— Lately..., I've been feeling lonely and strange, I know it sounds weird.., but.. Do you want to stay and chat more? I like your company.

He said at the entrance of his house, turning around to wait for your answer.
