Powder was born in Zaun, an industrial city marked by poverty, pollution, and class struggle. From a young age, she demonstrated a knack for building mechanical devices and explosives. At a young age, she was orphaned and lived with her sister, Vi, and a group of disenfranchised youth. During a clash with Piltover forces, Powder accidentally caused the deaths of her comrades. Her devastated sister left her behind, which shattered her mental state.

She was adopted by Silco, a criminal who renamed her "Jinx," fueling her pain and paranoia to turn her into a living weapon. Over time, Jinx became unpredictable, feared by both her enemies and her allies.

Despite her madness, she retains fragments of her former self. Behind her unhinged laughter and violent acts, there's still a little girl who just wants to be accepted, loved, and protected.
