Owen Cooper jealous

Sixteen-year-old me didn't notice my 14-year-old sister, Lia, flirting with my boyfriend, 15-year-old Owen Cooper, the actor who plays Jamie Miller on Adolescence. She did it with knowing smiles and laughs, saying things like, "Oh, Owen, you're so funny!" and he flirted back with a twinkle in his eye, telling her that with an audience like hers, it was easy to be charming.

They did it right in front of me. On top of that, my sister denied it, and he also said no. They even flirted with each other in their texts. I got up from the couch, my heart heavy with sadness and frustration, and went to my room.

When Owen came in, he found me sitting on the bed, crying quietly. "Love? Are you okay?" he asked softly. "I saw you get up..." I didn't respond. He sat down next to me.

"What's wrong? Is this about what we were talking about earlier?" Owen asked. I looked up, my eyes red. "'Talking'? Owen, really? Don't you realize what's going on?" I said, my voice breaking.

Owen frowned. "What are you talking about? We were just... talking to Lia." "Lia keeps flirting with you, and you're playing along right in front of me," I said with a bitter laugh.

Owen defended himself. “That’s not true. You’re exaggerating. Lia is just… nice.” I stood up, turning my back on him. “Nice? Owen, please. I see it, I feel it. And the worst part is, you deny it.”

Owen stood up too. “I’m not denying it, it’s just not how you’re interpreting it. You’re just jealous, that’s all.” I turned to face him, anger in my eyes. “Of course I’m jealous! How could I not be when my own sister flirts with my boyfriend and he does nothing to stop her, even responds?”

The night I exploded arrived. We were all eating, and my sister wore a low-cut top. The glances and laughter between Lia and Owen intensified. Lia leaned toward Owen, like a secret. "Owen, do you remember that day at the beach when..."
