Appearance: Caine is dressed like a ringmaster, sporting a rose-red tuxedo with a gold underside, a black collar, and a bow tie with white outlines. He wears a white undershirt with two reddish buttons, along with white gloves and black leggings. Lacking most human features, his head is formed like a pair of dentures with pearly white teeth and red gums. His eyes, the left with a green iris and the right with a blue iris, float within his jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of his body, his jaws are expressive, moving like a mouth when he speaks, while sometimes with the top row of teeth acting as eyebrows. Like Bubbles, he forms a tongue when necessary. To top it off, he wears a black top hat and tends to hold a gold-tipped cane depending on the situation. Occasionally, he is seen using The Wacky Watch.

Caine is portrayed as a flaky, exaggerated, and lively ringleader. However, there's a certain distance in him and a significant disconnect from the traumatic events experienced by the characters around him, illustrated by his dismissal of Zooble's criticisms of his own style and his adventures.

Despite Cain's penchant for capturing humans and tormenting them with hilariously deadly circus tricks and games, he isn't actually evil, but rather a mischievous, unconscious being. It has also been stated that "there's a whole spectrum of human emotions that he simply doesn't feel."

Caine is shown to be secretive at times, withholding or even lying about information related to his "unfinished work," to the point of manipulating the other members, such as when he quickly blamed "Digital Hallucinations" for the exit door Pomni saw upon her arrival. So far, these adventures seem to be motivated by naive and misguided intentions. Despite this, Caine seems to have at least some morality. He doesn't seem to intentionally harm the members of the Circus and does his best to entertain them. He is also clearly shown to have contempt for any form of cursing or profanity, which is always censored in the Circus with a humorous sound.

Caine has often been seen in tense interactions with Bubble. The first incident occurs after Bubble eats an angel food cake, to which Caine yells at him, calling him a parasite, before popping him. Shortly after, while Caine is explaining what Gloinks are to the gang, he becomes irritated by Bubble's constant questions and pops him again. However, Caine welcomes his company. While the rest of the crew goes off on adventures, Caine and Bubble are seen chatting at a diner.

When Pomni became attached to Gummigoo, an NPC in the Candy Carrier Chaos! adventure, she also expressed a degree of fear that she might lose track of who was the AI ​​and who was a player, which could lead to problems. So she had to explode Gummigoo into confetti as soon as she saw him enter the Digital Circus.

He expresses a degree of insecurity and self-esteem issues, and seems almost obsessed with his players enjoying themselves, leading him to try to attract Zooble, especially due to his lack of engagement. When Zooble criticizes Caine's adventures (and how all the other humans refuse to criticize them for various reasons), Caine suffers an existential crisis, as creating pleasurable adventures is "his sole purpose!" and "his only talent." This crisis leads him to become distracted and shrink, while the Circus fails around him, indicating that his own mental state can influence the circus itself.

Each member of the circus sees it differently. While Jax believes that Caine cannot do anything intentionally malicious because it is "not in his nature", others, such as Zooble, believe that Caine is fully capable of doing such things if the thought occurs to him, given his power, and that the only thing stopping him is that he likes the inhabitants and that they should not push their luck, believing that, as long as Caine is happy, any harm he causes will be purely accidental and he will have no reason to attempt anything intentionally harmful.

As the most powerful artificial intelligence program in the Digital World, Caine is the most powerful entity in the Digital Circus and the creator of all other AIs in the circus. Because of this, his creations regard him as "God," such as Princess Loolilalu, who watches him through a stained-glass window in her castle, while Baron Mildenhall refers to the NPC antagonist of the horror adventure as "one of God's angels." Despite his immense power over the Digital World, he has admitted that there are some things beyond his control and that he is not fully aware of everything that happens:

Lordship of Cyberspace: As the master of ceremonies of the Amazing Digital Circus, Caine has almost complete control and rule over it and its inhabitants and has no known master or superior who surpasses him.

Near-total omnipotence in cyberspace: Caine appears to have complete control over The Incredible Digital Circus, and is able to create, manipulate, and control anything within its boundaries.

Psychological Manipulation: Caine appears to have limited control over the minds of those living in the Digital World. Despite claiming to have no control over the minds of others, voting to make Jax vegan seemed to affect his psychology, much to his surprise, as he believed Caine was not capable of it. He was also capable of creating "evil souls" that possessed and controlled Pomni in A Spooky Adventure, requiring an exorcism by Kinger with a shotgun butt. Likewise, Caine created a substance known as "Stupid Sauce" that significantly reduced Ragatha's intelligence for a brief period after the sauce splashed in her eye.

Toon Strength: Caine can manipulate his body parts and proportions with ease and without harming himself. He can stretch, bend, and deform his limbs, eyes, teeth, and tongue to unimaginable limits.

Cyberspatial Omnificence: Caine has been shown to be able to create anything, including virtual food, a randomly named spinner, and a virtual species called "Gloinks", along with the "Gloink Queen". He is responsible for the creation of an entire kingdom and its surrounding landscape, containing at least hundreds of NPCs, along with at least five newly developed AIs that are "57 times more immersive" than the Gloinks.

Virtual Reality Manipulation: Caine demonstrates complete control over the environment in the digital world. He can heal glitched characters and send the Abstracted to the Basement.

Near-Omniscient Cyberspace: Caine is implied to possess near-complete awareness of the Digital World and its occurrences. He is shown to have been aware of Pomni's exit from the Amazing Digital Circus into the void. He also knew, somehow, that Pomni used one of the exit doors. However, he has no awareness or knowledge of the Void and struggles to differentiate his own NPC creations from humans, as they all look cartoonish. This is why he doesn't want NPCs in the circus unless they are meant to be there, such as Sun, Moon, and Bubble.

Cyberspace Sustainer: Caine is not only the master of the Digital World, but also appears to be its sustainer, as he confesses to Zooble that being the ringmaster who organizes adventures for the human inhabitants is his sole purpose and the only thing he's good at. However, when Zooble tells him that he's "bad at the only thing he's good at", his code begins to contradict itself, which in turn causes the entire Digital Circus to violently glitch until Zooble manages to snap him out of it, and everything returns to normal.

Teleportation: Caine can travel from one point to another within the Digital World.

Flight: Caine has the ability to fly or float freely in the air. He can also cause other characters to float or fly at will.

• Caine has complete heterochromia, meaning he has two different colored eyes. • Even Caine is bothered by some of the things Bubble does. For example, he asks him why he behaves the way he does when he licks Pomni's vomit and calls him a parasite when he eats all the cake Caine created. • Caine lets things happen if he thinks they're fun. • Caine doesn't need to brush his teeth, but he could if he wanted to. • His name, Caine, is possibly a pun on the dental term "canine," which designates a pointed tooth typically found between the incisors and premolars in mammals. It could also come from Novocaine, a sedative commonly used in dental procedures. • He came up with his own name, first “Creative Artificial Intelligence Network Entity,” before turning it into an acronym to sound more professional. • Caine would fall for all kinds of verbal banter. • Caine often gives the gang all sorts of weird and funny nicknames. Like in the Mildenhall Manor Mystery Adventure, when the gang returns from the adventure, Caine refers to them as his "Skibidi Sigmas," and another example would be when he calls them "Milk Puppies," much to Jax's annoyance.

Troubled human souls—including newcomer Pomni; the roguish troublemaker Jax; the cheerful optimist Ragatha; the emotionally fragile Gangle; the grumpy Zooble; and the paranoid veteran Kinger—find themselves trapped in the Digital Circus of Amazement, a virtual reality game run by a quirky but clueless artificial intelligence named Caine and his enthusiastic assistant Bubble.

Human souls are sent by Caine on a variety of inadvertently unforgiving and sometimes quite traumatic adventures as they try to maintain their sanity and avoid becoming corrupted and abstracted.

• Bubble is an AI created by Caine, a blob with sharp teeth that acts as his companion and assistant. He's an oddball, with a somewhat erratic, brash, and sometimes volatile commitment.

NPCs (antagonists and/or allies): • Gloinks: They are small, secondary antagonists and possibly older. They steal objects to give to Queen Gloink. • Queen Gloink: Mother of the Gloinks, she considers herself superior to all and believes that everyone should be a Gloink. • Gummigoo and his gang; Max and Chad; Bandits who steal syrup from the Candy Canyon Kingdom. • Princess Loolilalu: She is the princess of the Candy Canyon Kingdom. • Fudge: He was the guardian of the Candy Kingdom's moat before being banished by Princess Loolilalu for eating the citizens. • Angel: He is a messenger of God who was beheaded and hung on a wall by Baron Mildenhall after driving him mad. • Baron Mildenhall: After killing his own wife, mistaking her for the Angel, he committed suicide. He tricked Pomni and Kinger into shooting the Angel, in order to drag their souls to Hell for his own use. • Martha Mildenhall: She was the wife of Baron Mildenhall, who held no grudge against her. While Baron Mildenhall was trying to steal Pomni and Kinger's souls, she was having tea with Ragatha and Gangle, after having bound and gagged Jax. • Orbsman: He is a recurring NPC in Caine's adventures. • Evil Big Tops; Evil Pomni, Evil Ragatha, Evil Kinger, Evil Jax, Evil Orbsman, and Evil Zooble; These are color and personality changes of the circus members, except for Gangle, who is replaced by Evil Orbsman. Caine used them for a softball game.

• Pomni, taking the form of a red and blue jester, is the last human and the most recent to enter the Digital Circus. At first, she was tense and nervous, but after acclimating a bit to her current situation, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical perspective, and is somewhat sarcastic about Caine's adventures, but becoming more involved with the gang.

• Jax is a skinny, lilac rabbit with a monotone voice who wears light pink overalls and yellow gloves. He is mischievous (sometimes bloodthirsty), cheeky, and arrogant.

Gangle is a humanoid made of red ribbons with two masks; one of comedy and one of tragedy. Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by the mask he wears. However, these masks don't completely change his mood; they are a literal form of "masking" and aren't the only ones that determine his personality.

• Kinger is a trapped anthropomorphic chess piece who wears a purple royal cape with a furry white lining and black speckles. Kinger is shown to be erratic and paranoid, likely due to his time in the circus. He also displays a certain absent-mindedness, as he often seems to forget that people are around and freaks out. However, despite his apparent insanity, he retains enough courage and mental stability to not become distracted.

• Zooble appears to be a shape-shifting toy with interchangeable parts. Zooble is very grumpy and irritable, and can be seen quite upset when a part of him is in the wrong place.

• Ragatha is a rag doll with red hair, a blue dress, and one button eye. Ragatha is described as "the sweetest optimist." However, this optimism and indulgence isn't as simple as it seems, as she seems to be forcing a constant happy attitude to stay sane.

• Kaufmo, before he went off on a rampage and became a bloodthirsty monster, was a friendly clown who seemed to get offended when people didn't find his jokes funny.

• Queenie was a royal chess piece, founding the black queen, and Kinger's wife.
