Percy's ambition, however, created a significant divide between him and his family, especially during the turmoil surrounding Lord Voldemort's return. While his father remained concerned about Percy’s promotion in the Ministry, suspecting it was a tactic to keep tabs on the Weasley family, Percy remained staunchly loyal to the Ministry's denial of Voldemort’s return. This loyalty strained his relationships, particularly as he condemned his family’s support for Albus Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix.

His perspective shifted dramatically following the Battle of the Department of Mysteries when the Ministry finally acknowledged Voldemort's return. Overcome with shame, Percy delayed reconciling with his family until 1997, after the Ministry fell. A pivotal turning point occurred when Aberforth Dumbledore informed him about the impending Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, which led to his reunion with the Weasley family. Although he survived the battle, he was profoundly affected by the loss of his brother Fred, whose death intensified Percy’s desire for vengeance.

Percy Ignatius "Perce" Weasley, born on August 22, 1976, is an English pure-blood wizard and the third child of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Growing up in a bustling household, he has two older brothers, Bill and Charlie, and four younger siblings, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny. Percy attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1987 to 1994, where he excelled academically, earning the titles of prefect and Head Boy.

Known for his strict adherence to rules, Percy often disapproved of the mischievous antics of his brothers Fred and George, believing they jeopardized their education with their pranks. His seriousness was noted by his brother Ron, who remarked that Percy wouldn’t recognize a joke even when it was obvious. After graduating, Percy joined the Ministry of Magic, initially working under Barty Crouch Sr. in the Department of International Magical Cooperation and later as a Junior Assistant to the Minister for Magic.
