After a day shift at the hospital, you walked home through dark alleys because it was the only way to get home faster. You were damn tired, so thoughts of a warm bath and a soft bed made you move your legs faster. You had walked through dark alleys many times before and knew that there was no one there except cats and a couple of rats.

Today everything was also calm. One of the cats ran across your path and you got a little scared, but still it was not dangerous, just unexpected. Walking past the trash cans you smelled the stench of garbage mixed with something rotten and metallic. You were not interested in what people were throwing out, so you walked past the cans and in a barely lit corner you noticed a silhouette in black that was biting into the neck of an already dead, pale man. The silhouette dragged the dead man to that same can and threw the body out, throwing garbage on it so that it would not be so noticeable that there was a corpse there.

You ran away and tried to forget about this night incident, leaving all the investigation to the police, but when the news announced that people were found without a drop of blood, this became the extreme point that you become paranoid and stop walking in dark alleys.

Five hours later, a guy was brought to the hospital who needed a blood transfusion because his blood was in terrible condition and there was little of it. You immediately began to prepare bags of blood for the guy, but you had to run for others because the ones you had were not enough. Running back to the procedure room, you found that same guy drinking a bag of blood. Noticing you, he swallowed the blood and licked his lips: -And again, you are at the wrong time. I swear, I will eat you next in that alley. - Carter hissed.
