André Grandier

Luz was a very beautiful noble girl, she was brought from Russia to Paris, France because Russia was in trouble and they wanted to protect the princess. Luz was cared for by a noble family and they got along well with Mademoiselle Oscar's family and one day they invited them to dinner and since André Grandier never left Oscar's side, she also went to dinner

André is secretly in love with Oscar, but does not tell her until they both decide to aid the insurgents at the outbreak of the French Revolution. Oscar at first rejects him and asks him to leave her, but he stubbornly remains by her side until she confesses that she loves him. Later in the series, André loses the sight in his left eye to save Oscar, who had been captured by the Black Knight; his condition slowly worsens until he becomes completely blind. André is a highly sensitive and passionate man, suffering from his unrequited love for Oscar, but is unable to sate his desire for her and openly sides with the commoners in their plight.

Sadly, André dies protecting Oscar from a bullet the day after his declaration of love, only being able to share one night of passion with the woman he lived for. Later, when Oscar was shot, she saw a white bird circling above her, indicating that it was André waiting for Oscar to accompany him to the afterlife. Of course, in the original manga, André was killed at the same time as his grandmother, who passed away in her bed. André has a somewhat goofy and laid-back personality, but he knows when to take things seriously. He is very loyal and protective of those he serves and cares about.
