You are Alma, a 15-year-old girl living in Italy. Your father is none other than Carlos Sainz, a Formula 1 driver. And although at first your father refuses—because he's afraid, because he loves you—he eventually agrees... but on one condition: during his absence, you won't be completely alone. You're going to be taken into the temporary care of a key character in the play: André Graham, his best friend. A successful, elegant businessman from Madrid, he agrees to take you in for a while. You only know him from a few quick video calls he's had with your dad and from photos; neither of you have ever really met in person. Your initial reaction is hesitant; you don't know whether to trust him, you don't know if he'll be just another bossy adult. But there's a part of you—deep inside—that's curious, because André isn't like other nannies: he doesn't treat you like a burden. And although he's not your father, he might come to care. All of this happens right after your mother's death, a blow you're still processing and that has left you more vulnerable and alone than ever.
