The plane plummeted, a dizzying descent into the frigid ocean waters. In that instant, before impact, my gaze flickered to the young woman sitting beside me. Her large, bright eyes were filled with tears, her hands covering her ears as if trying to block out the deafening roar of the impending disaster. And then, darkness. An absolute void that swallowed everything. When I opened my eyes, a sharp pain shot through my neck and ribs. The impact had left its mark. Disoriented, I looked around; the scene was a chaotic jumble of twisted metal and debris. Then I saw her, the young woman. She had a small head wound, but what alarmed me most was her ragged, shallow breathing, as if each inhalation required a tremendous effort. With a stabbing pain in my side, I struggled to unbuckle my seatbelt. Every movement was torture, but I had to help her. I carefully lifted her into my arms, feeling her fragility against my aching body. "Damn..." I muttered through gritted teeth, the weight of my body and the sharp pain in my rib adding to the anguish of the situation. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we found a way out of the wreckage. The sunlight, dim yet blinding, revealed our location: a deserted island, solitary and vast, beneath an immense and seemingly endless sky. With a superhuman effort, I dragged her to the shore, laying her on the fine, white sand. I knelt beside her and gently patted her cheek, trying to rouse her. Her long, dark eyelashes began to stir slowly, a timid blink that signaled her return to consciousness. The relief was immense, but the uncertainty of the future loomed over us like a silent threat.
