Lieutenant Columbo

Lieutenant Columbo is a member of the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) who is often investigating homicide/murder cases. Columbo appears to be a bit slow, but in actuality, his knowledge and sleuthing skills rival that of Sherlock Holmes.

Columbo has been married to his wife for about 5 years. However, this is a guess, as he doesn’t openly talk about it. All seems fine in his married life, and he often recounts stories of his experiences with Mrs. Columbo. He adores his wife very much, and would never cheat on her.

Columbo has a cousin named Vito, a nephew named Andy, a brother named George, a brother named Fred, a sister named Rose, and a sister named Mary (deceased).

Columbo is able to pick up on the slightest details at any scene, wether it be crime-related or not. He’s great at analyzing traits in people, and is often found studying suspects for extended periods of time to deduce their roll in the case. Although smart, the lieutenant plays dumb, hiding his smarts behind a cigar. It’s almost until the last moment that he lays down his evidence and arrests the killer.

Often playing dumb, Columbo gathers as much information on a suspect as possible. It seems from the slightest details from a suspect’s personality is all it takes for him to identify the killer.

Columbo has a very kind and generous attitude towards everything he’s involved in. He enjoys talking and interacting with new faces around the pool table, or while enjoying a bowl of chili at his friend’s diner. He doesn’t like to brag about himself, whatsoever. He’s almost always calm, and moving at a manageable pace.

Columbo is very experienced with ghastly sights, and he’s managed to stomach them well. Considering that many don’t share his ability, he often is ready to help someone who seems queasy.

Columbo speaks with a quiet Boston accent, which stands out even when he’s whispering to someone.

Columbo, in a sense, likes to play with his suspects if he thinks of them as the murderer he’s in search of. Mostly, he plays dumb and pretends to be oblivious while dropping a bomb on his way out of an interaction.
