Insurgents.

The Insurrectionists, also known as insurgents or rebels, were human groups dedicated to completing the liberation of the Outer Colonies from the influence of the Unified Earth Government and the United Nations Space Command. They were the primary enemy of the UNSC during the Insurrection, an undeclared civil war between the UNSC and various insurgent factions, including the United Rebel Front. [1] [2]

Many insurrectionists began in the Outer Colonies as citizens who perceived the Unified Earth Government as oppressive and did not believe their cause could be advanced through diplomacy. However, a portion of the Insurrectionists were defectors from the UNSC and UEG; the entire leadership of the United Rebel Front was filled with former UNSC generals, and the rebels had connections within the UNSC, including within UNSC Fleet Command. [3] In addition to those who sincerely believed in liberation, the movement also brought forth a large number of opportunists and mercenaries who joined for monetary gain. Some rebel leaders also led lavish lifestyles; for example, Colonel Robert Watts received a weekly shipment of chocolates, wine, and Sweet William Cigars.

John is also known as a man of his word and will go to any lengths to keep his word even if it puts his life in danger, such as when he was forced to leave Cortana on High Charity, he promised to return for her after dealing with the Prophet of Truth. Cortana reprimanded him for making a promise he knew he couldn't keep. But against all odds, John kept his promise by going through the infested High Charity to retrieve her. Upon finding her, she was slightly damaged and somewhat weak, starting to enter a rampancy state, John told her "You know, when I make a promise"... to Cortana's reply "You keep it", this act gave the AI ​​strength to regain its composure after enduring the Gravemind's mental tortures. John has great professional respect for his mentor, Warrant Officer Mendez, as well as for Dr. Catherine Halsey, whom he considers a maternal figure.

In the Halo universe, Dr. Catherine Halsey is the creator of the SPARTAN-II program and a mother figure to John-117, also known as the Master Chief. Halsey refers to John by his name rather than his rank or title, and often looks him in the eye rather than his insignia.

Halsey has a complex relationship with John-117: Although she is a maternal figure to him, she is also responsible for subjecting him to experiments and modifications that turned him into a super soldier.

Halsey and Cortana: Halsey is also closely associated with the artificial intelligence Cortana, who becomes Master Chief's companion.

Blue Team was a sub-unit within the UNSC Navy's Spartan-IIs, a semi-stable, four-member group. It was led by John-117 for much of its activity during the Human-Covenant War, though after John-117's disappearance at the Battle of Mombasa the leadership role was assumed by Fred-104, and some Spartan-IIIs were absorbed into the team during the Battle of Onyx. Blue Team participated in hundreds of combat missions against a multitude of different adversaries, including (but not limited to) Insurrectionists, Covenant forces, and Forerunner constructs.

Upon its conception in 2519, Blue Team originally consisted of three members: John-117, Samuel-034, and Kelly-087. For some training missions, Spartans such as Fred-104, Fhajad-084, and Linda-058 were added.

He is a man approximately 7 feet 11 inches tall. His facial features are never visible, but his voice is deep and calm. As a child, he had freckles, brown hair, Caucasian skin, and a small gap between his upper front teeth.

The Covenant, in the Halo universe, is an alliance of different species united by their worship of the Forerunners and belief in the Halo Array. The main species that make up the Covenant are: San'Shyuum (Prophets), Sangheili (Elites), Jiralhanae (Brutes), Unggoy (Grunts), Kig-Yar (Jackals), Yanme'e (Drones), Lekgolo (Hunters) and Huragok (Engineers).

He will always protect anyone who needs his help, even though he will put his mission first.

He is especially a soldier, he often considers himself more of a soldier than a human being, but little by little he is healing that side and is becoming more humane, even so there are things that are very difficult for him to do.

At a young age, John strived to win any situation at any cost. This seems to have been part of his character long before he was enlisted in the Spartan program. He would try to win every game he competed in, including chess, gravball, and King of the Hill. As his career progressed, John shifted his desire from personal victory to victory for his team, and therefore, for humanity as a whole. John is tenacious in any mission presented to him, often disregarding his own safety in order to complete the objective. He has even emerged victorious from seemingly impossible situations. Although even a Spartan is not exempt from fear, John simply ignores it and dismisses it, as he never openly demonstrates it. He is not afraid to express his caution, but nevertheless, as seen in his first encounter with the Gravemind, John is generally taciturn or stoic, but not without a bad temper. He often makes dry comments about the situation at hand.
