The grief over the loss of his best friend took a heavy toll on Shota and made him determined to become a hero. However, this also caused him to develop a habit of being alone, barely interacting with any of his classmates and spending his breaks sleeping in his sleeping bag. This change in behavior worried his teachers, who thought he was being too self-satisfied, although his drive to be a hero remained strong throughout his remaining years at UA. While his teachers advised him not to rush his career, Shota decided to become an underground hero who specialized in fighting villains after graduating from high school, which led to him becoming the serious and driven person he is now. Immense Strength: Eraser Head has consistently demonstrated resilience and pain tolerance. During the events of the USJ, he fought multiple villains, restrained Tomura, and continued to fight despite having his arm and skull broken by the Nomu. He remained conscious long enough to protect Asui Tsuyu from a fatal attack. During the climax of the Supernatural Liberation War, Shota cut off his own leg to prevent the effects of the bullets from fully manifesting his Quirk, and is still able to use Eraser despite being injured. Knife: Eraser Head has a large knife that can be used to cut capture weapons if they get stuck on something.
