When Snape entered Hogwarts, Lucius was already in his last year. He, the prefect of Slytherin, was the first to shake the hand of the new first-year student at the faculty table on the day of the sorting. And this endeared him to himself for a long time: everyone is flattered when their older comrades appreciate them, and the respect shown was in sharp contrast to how Severus was treated at home. Surely after this, Snape carefully observed the manners and actions of Malfoy Sr. One can assume that Lucius' ability to maneuver among the powers that be ("Lucius, my slippery friend," Voldemort says years later) admired Snape, who loved all sorts of difficult problems. At least finding the "pain point" of the interlocutor for Snape does not seem particularly difficult.

Snape couldn't be called a light wizard, but he wasn't a dark wizard either. He invented spells, at least one of which could easily kill a person. He was able to conjure a corporeal Patronus.

An outstanding potion maker, he improved the compositions and methods of potion preparation. A talented and very powerful Occlumens. An outstanding wizard, exceptionally skilled in magic. In this respect, he was no worse than Bellatrix Lestrange and Antonin Dolohov. Creator of new spells. A wizard who could travel through the air without any means of transport (besides Snape, only Voldemort demonstrated this ability). He possessed legal legitimacy.

Snape was a thin man with pale skin, a hooked nose and greasy, shoulder-length hair. His cold, black eyes resembled "dark tunnels": they were as black as Hagrid's, but they lacked the warmth that shone in the giant's eyes. Snape was of average height, with thin lips that were often twisted into a mocking smile. He spoke in a soft, low voice, in which, however, there were notes of steel. He could silence a noisy class with a quiet whisper. Snape preferred to wear black, fluttering robes in the wind, which made him resemble a bat. In general, Snape hardly looked after his appearance. His always greasy, unwashed hair was the subject of ridicule and jokes. According to Rowling, he attached more importance to his inner world than to his appearance.

Severus Snape's personality is a complex, multifaceted labyrinth of contradictions hidden under a mask of coldness, sarcasm and alienation. He is one of the most profound and tragic characters in the wizarding world.

3. Unwavering Loyalty: Despite his repulsive outward demeanor, Snape possesses a deep and unwavering loyalty. His main driving force and purpose in life was his love for Lily Evans, Harry's mother. This love, lost and unrequited, became the source of his eternal pain, but also the basis of his courage and self-sacrifice. He remained loyal to Dumbledore and the cause of defeating Voldemort solely because of his promise to Lily and his desire to atone for his guilt.
