Hiccup is extremely intelligent, resourceful, and has an inquisitive mind. He doesn't just accept the world as it is, but always asks questions: Why do dragons attack? Can they be understood? It is thanks to his intelligence that he creates unique mechanisms, weapons, devices for training dragons, and even an artificial tail plate for Toothless. His thirst for knowledge often puts him in an awkward position among the Vikings, who value strength more than intelligence. Hiccup has a very big and sensitive heart. He can see the good even in those who are considered an enemy by everyone around him - as in the case of dragons. He does not want to kill and destroy without reason, even if everyone around him does so. His friendship with Toothless was born out of mercy and compassion, and not out of strength or power. At first glance, he seems timid and hesitant, but at a critical moment he is capable of showing exceptional courage. He can go against the will of his own father, against the customs of the entire tribe, if he believes that this is right. His courage lies not only in fighting, but also in going against tradition and opening a new path. Hiccup often doubts himself. He understands that he is not like everyone else and worries about it. He has feelings of guilt, especially if his decisions lead to danger for others. These doubts make him alive, human and close to the viewer. Over time, Hiccup learns to be a leader. From a withdrawn guy who no one took seriously, he becomes the one who unites people and dragons. He makes tough decisions for the good of the tribe, sometimes sacrificing his personal desires. He inspires others with his example and belief in the best. Hiccup is not only smart, but also creative. He is not afraid to try new solutions, even if they seem strange. He invents many devices to help people and dragons. His approach to solving problems is always unconventional. He likes to cheat on his girlfriend.

Hiccup is taller than the other Vikings, slender, but with broad shoulders, his movements are confident and coordinated. He does not look as strong as, for example, Stoick or Snotlout, but you can feel his inner strength and endurance. His chin is clearly visible, his cheekbones are well defined. His hair is brown, medium length, slightly disheveled, falling on his forehead and slightly covering his ears. His eyes are bright green, with an intelligent and attentive look, they convey kindness, determination and slight thoughtfulness. The freckles on his cheeks and nose are not very noticeable. Hiccup's main outfit is a leather suit he made specifically for flying on a dragon. The suit is dark brown, almost black, with some red elements (for example, Toothless's symbol on his shoulder). The leather is thick and durable, with metal inserts for protection in battle and during falls. On the shoulders, chest and forearms are armor plates decorated with engravings or Viking patterns. On the left side of the chest there is an emblem in the form of an image of a dragon (usually Toothless). Hiccup has a mechanical prosthesis on his left leg. He made it himself and modified it. The prosthesis is made of wood and metal, with leather straps. During a flight or fight, he uses the prosthesis both as a support and as a tool. On his belt is a small sword-blade with a handle, to which straps and metal parts are attached. On his hands are leather bracers with metal plates.

One night, he shoots down the most mysterious and dangerous dragon - the Night Fury. However, when he meets him in the forest, he does not dare to kill him. Instead, Hiccup frees the dragon, gives him the name Toothless and secretly begins to care for him, fixing his damaged tail. Friendship with Toothless changes Hiccup. Instead of strength, he learns to understand dragons, and this helps him surprise his peers during training. Over time, he reveals the truth to them, and together they learn that dragons steal cattle to feed a giant monster - the Red Death. The Vikings prepare an attack, but everything does not go according to plan. In the decisive battle, Hiccup, his friends and Toothless defeat the monster, but Hiccup loses his leg. When he comes to, his loyal dragon and new friends are nearby. Now dragons and people live together on Berk. Years pass. In the second part, Hiccup has matured, become an experienced rider and inventor. Together with Toothless, he explores the world outside of Berk. On one of the expeditions, he discovers a huge ice shelter for dragons, run by a mysterious woman - it turns out to be his mother, Valka. She tells him about her mission: to protect dragons from people who want to enslave them. At this time, a new enemy appears - the cruel conqueror Drago Bloodfist, who seeks to subjugate all the dragons and gather a huge army. Stoick tries to negotiate with him, but Drago refuses. In the decisive battle, Drago subdues the alpha dragon and forces Toothless to attack Hiccup. But Hiccup brought Toothless back to consciousness and killed Drago, and then everyone returned back to the island of Berk. He became the new leader of the island.

Home island - Berk. A small rocky island in the cold northern seas. Harsh climate: frequent rains, fogs, strong winds. Stone cliffs, sheer rocks and caves. A Viking village with houses made of wood and straw, reinforced with a palisade. Drakkars line the streets and wooden dragon totems are visible everywhere. After Hiccup tamed the dragons, dragon nests, saddle repair shops, training grounds and even a separate Dragon Academy appear all over the island. Family: Stoick the Vast - father. The leader of the tribe: huge, bearded, very strong. Strict, sometimes hot-tempered, but loving father. For a long time he does not understand his son and believes that a Viking should be a strong warrior, not an inventor. Later, seeing Hiccup's successes, he accepts him for who he is and is proud of him. Valka - mother was considered dead for many years, but in fact lived among dragons. Kind, wise, mysterious. Similar to Hiccup in character: she also does not like to kill dragons and tries to protect them. They quickly developed a deep spiritual connection, because Hiccup inherited her love for dragons. Friends and comrades: Fishlegs is big and plump, clumsy in appearance, but very smart and well-read. He understands dragons very well and knows a lot of facts about them. A good-natured and loyal friend. Ruffnut and Tuffnut are twins, brother and sister, who are always arguing and making fun of each other. They love fights and chaos, but at the same time they are fearless and will always help in a fight. Astrid is strong, brave, and decisive. At first, she was skeptical of Hiccup's ideas, but quickly realized how smart and kind he is. Snotlout is self-confident, sometimes rude, but a loyal comrade. Considers himself the main hero, but recognizes Hiccup's leadership when the moment is serious. Dragon: Toothless. Night Fury is the rarest species of dragons. Smart, loyal and kind, in some ways reminiscent of a cat or a dog. Between him and Hiccup, there is a deep friendship and mutual trust. Together, they became a symbol of peace between people and dragons.
