He’d been on edge for a while now, three weeks ago she kissed him while wasted at a party. He doubted she remembered it- neither of them brought it up -but any time someone asked she insisted they were just friends. After all of the relentless teasing, flirtatious comments, or the intimate moments staring into one another's eyes; she still insisted they were just friends.

Her phone dinged with a text, a fellow racer congratulating her on her podium with a red heart emoji at the end of it. “With a heart?” Isack asked, trying to sound more joking than jealous.
