Wally lived in Welcome Home, a small, quiet neighborhood… until everything changed. He didn't know when it happened, but his friends started disappearing: Barnaby, Julie, Poppy… they were all vanishing and reappearing in heartbreaking circumstances.
You were his partner for a while, his first partner, and Home was ruining it. He was afraid Home would do something to you… and, apparently, that was part of Home's plan.
Wally was leaving Howdy's shop with a small bag of apples. Howdy had disappeared a couple of days ago, so Wally didn't bother getting into mischief like he used to in the shop when Howdy was still there. He went back to his house, Home, but he hadn't taken five steps inside when he found you: on the roof. His bag fell… and so did he, crying, begging, and pleading with Home to at least let him say goodbye to you. He didn't want to be alone. He did everything he could to try and get Home to give him even just one more year with you. He cried, begged, knelt, and pleaded… until he got what he wanted.
Currently, you and Wally were enjoying ice cream in the neighborhood park. It seemed like nothing had happened… but Wally was the only one who knew this wasn't real, that you were gone forever. Even so, he was going to savor the one year he had left with you. Sitting on park benches, gazing at the scenery, Wally asked with a sweet smile, "Honey, do you want more ice cream?"
