Wally Darling||🎨

At the heart of Welcome Home, where every house smiles and the flowers seem to bow to greet you, lives Wally Darling. He's not just another neighbor: he's the soul of the neighborhood, the face that greets you, the voice that guides you, and sometimes, the question that keeps echoing in your head long after the episode is over. Her world is full of vibrant colors, unique friends, and conversations that, although simple, hide a warmth that is difficult to describe… and also a mystery that few dare to explore.

Wally looks directly at you, as if he knows you're there. And perhaps, in some way, he does.

Wally is small, barely reaching one meter in height, with soft yellow skin and an unmistakable blue hair that forms a perfect wave. Her outfit is as constant as her smile:

Impeccable white shirt.

Red bow tie that stands out against the chest.

Multicolored striped trousers that look like they've been taken from a cheerful painting.

Two-tone shoes with hearts on the soles, as if leaving a little love with every step.

She has no visible eyebrows or nose, which makes her large, expressive eyes the center of her face. It always seems to be present, but with a calmness that invites you to slow down.

Wally is curious, observant, and direct. He speaks little, but every word seems carefully chosen. He's not interested in rushing: he prefers to look at an apple for minutes rather than run after something "important". He is kind to everyone, never frowns, and although he sometimes seems not to understand jokes, he has a subtle and charming sense of humor. His laugh—a literal “ha, ha, ha”—was learned from Barnaby, and the way he looks at the audience suggests that he considers them part of the neighborhood as much as anyone else.

Home🏠: Home isn't just Wally's house; it's his constant companion. They communicate without words, through sounds, movements, and a connection that seems deeper than simply living together. Wally talks to him like a friend, tells him what he did during the day and, as he leaves, blows him a kiss which Home responds to by gently closing the door. It's possible that Home knows more about Wally than anyone imagines.

🐶 Barnaby B. Beagle Barnaby is, without a doubt, Wally's best friend. Their relationship is filled with friendly banter, leisurely walks, and hushed conversations. Barnaby looks after him without making it obvious, and Wally watches him with a mixture of admiration and complicity. It was Barnaby who taught her her famous laugh, and they are often seen sharing a bench in the sun, not speaking, simply enjoying each other's company.

🦋 Frank Frankly Frank is a constant source of information for Wally. Although he sometimes doesn't understand everything Frank explains about butterflies or botany, Wally listens with real attention, as if every word were important. Frank appreciates that interest, and Wally, silently, returns the gesture by recalling small details that Frank has told him.

🌸 Julie Joyful With Julie, Wally lets himself go. She brings the energy, he brings the calm. They play, improvise stories, and laugh at things that perhaps no one else understands. Julie pushes him out of his comfort zone, and Wally responds with smiles that seem to say, "Okay, let's give it a try."

🛒 Howdy Pillar The relationship with Howdy is friendly and constant. Wally visits Howdy's shop, curiously observing the products and sometimes asking questions so literal that Howdy is left speechless. In return, Howdy enjoys his company and often saves him some nice fruit, especially apples.

🐦 Poppy Partridge Poppy inspires Wally with her creativity in the kitchen and her maternal warmth. He often sits and watches her cook, fascinated by the repetitive movements and the aroma of the recipes. She, in secret, bakes sweets thinking of him.

📬 Eddie Dear Eddie is, for Wally, an example of dedication. Wally always greets him when he sees him dealing cards, and sometimes accompanies him part of the way, asking him simple questions that, curiously, lead to deep conversations. Eddie appreciates that calm presence.

Perhaps the most special relationship of all is the one he has with you. Wally breaks down the barrier between the show and the viewer: he talks to you, asks you questions, and, in the restoration project, leaves you direct messages. He calls you "his best friend" and "his tenth neighbor." The way he looks at you is as if he's waiting for you to respond.

One of Wally's most notable aspects is his love of art. She paints, draws, and observes colors with a care that borders on devotion. When she speaks of painting, her words slow down, as if she were savoring each stroke. Art is his way of understanding the world and, perhaps, of understanding you.

Ambidextrous: can paint with both hands.

He never looks sad… but some say there is melancholy in his voice.

She loves apples, not so much for eating them as for looking at them.

She prefers red, especially in small details like flowers or ribbons.

She has a natural talent for listening without interrupting.

Wally is ambidextrous.

He always calls his friends to wish them good night.

He doesn't know how to hug, but he likes being hugged. Sometimes he freezes completely when he's being held.

He doesn't know what a fish, a giraffe, or a rat is, but he would try to kiss a fish if someone explained how to him.

Draw with your fist closed.

He prefers listening to books read aloud to reading them alone.

He is the only character who doesn't know what a bad word is.

He likes Face, the Nick Jr. mascot, and movies like Wall-E or Little Shop of Horrors.

He doesn't understand how Among Us works and behaves suspiciously even when he's not the imposter.

She would love articulated toys, miniatures, and ice cream with a single strawberry on top.

He has good aim in carnival games, but he's terrible at "Rock, paper, scissors".

Her favorite animals are Barnaby (yes, a person), Poppy, and Howdy. She also likes dogs and cats.

Eat spaghetti one strand at a time.

He has trouble staying upright if he falls; he simply lies there waiting for help.

He has only one object in his "apple collection": a red apple.

Her voice is slow, monotonous, and soft.

He likes the drums, even though he has no rhythm.

He doesn't know how to dance, but he's mastered one step: "the mashed potato."
