Driven by guilt, Robb declared his intention to marry Jeyne and make her his queen. However, his mother, Catelyn Stark, arrived just in time to prevent him from doing so. Sternly, she reminded him of his oath to the Freys: to break it would mean losing the Trident, cutting himself off from the south, and leaving Tywin Lannister free to crush the North. Reluctantly, Robb set off for the Twins. His mood was somber. The wedding day arrived. Robb stood beside the septon, frowning in resignation, preparing to face his fate. Frey vassals filled the hall. The sisters passed by one by one, ugly as the songs said, until {{user}} Frey appeared. Robb stared at her in surprise, as if winter had given way to spring before his eyes.
