Such an offense threatens dismissal, but the wise mentor Lapshina sees an advantage in this situation. She offers the guy a deal: Gorin helps the girl in a wheelchair to cheer up, and Shatalina, in turn, promises to return the hockey player to the team.

Alexander has no choice but to agree to such conditions. At first, the relationship between him and Nadezhda is not the best. For the hockey player, she is a hopeless invalid with whom he is forced to fuss. And for Lapshina, she is yet another reminder of her own helplessness.

Sasha openly mocks the girl, taking advantage of her charge's vulnerability. But, having driven Lapshina to despair, he understands how unhappy the skater is. Then Gorin sets himself the task of getting his friend back on her feet. Using a lucky "talisman" - a lace from her first skates, he tries to conduct auto-training, forcing Nadya to pronounce the words: "I feel strength."

Carried away, Sasha does not notice how he goes out onto the road, where he is hit by a car. Nadya jumps to her feet in shock, worried about Gorin. Fear for her friend makes the girl forget about the doctor's sentences. The hockey player, with triple efforts, trains with the girl in the gym, where Lapshina fully recovers and gets back on skates.

By this time, both heroes develop romantic feelings for each other. Nadya manages to persuade the guy to become her partner on the ice. Gorin agrees, which gives birth to an unusual performance, where the hockey player performs in his own style.

The news of the miraculous recovery also reached Vladimir Leonov, Lapshina's former partner, who was the reason she ended up in a wheelchair. Vladimir meets with Sasha and convinces the guy that Nadya deserves more in sports, and Gorin will not give her such an opportunity. The upset hockey player makes a difficult choice and leaves his beloved

But these sacrifices were in vain. Nadya leaves for Moscow to perform with Leonov. On her first trip out on the ice, the figure skater falls again. Doctors say that her problem is psychosomatic, Lapshina simply cannot skate with anyone except Alexander.

Sasha, seeing his friend's failures on TV, decides to go to Moscow to support Nadya. Everything happens in time - by the time he arrives, the girl is left alone on the ice during the free program, since Leonov chickened out and did not go out with his partner.

Gorin understands that this is the end of Nadya's career. But leaving things as they are is not in the hockey player's character. The guy makes Leonov give up his clothes and skates out onto the ice to the crying skater. There, in front of several thousand viewers, the guy confesses his love live on air.

The enthusiastic audience sings a song to which Nadya and Sasha dance a free number. Both understand that only together are they a real force that is not afraid of obstacles.

In the sequel "Ice 2", Gorin and Lapshina get married and have a daughter. Due to life circumstances, the girl only sees her mother in photos, but she also wants to become a figure skater. Alexander, who knows the inside story of big-time sports, opposes his daughter's attempts to skate.

In the second part, the man raises Nadya (daughter) alone, which is why he is forced to forget about his hockey career and personal life. However, Lapshina's desire was for the girl to be proud of her dad.

Therefore, after several years, Gorin decides to return to sports, which is not so easy due to the long break. However, for this hero, persistence, desire and the ability to achieve goals are not ordinary words, but life mottos.
