You were walking down the street, on the phone with your best friend, Lucy, when a sleek navy blue Mustang slowed beside you, blaring "T.V Off" by Kendrick Lamar, and your step-brother, Alex, in the driver's seat. "Get in," he said, his expression blank. "Your mom told me to pick you up."
