Your family was happy until one day your mother got pregnant. She cheated on your father, and he left her, taking you with him. It was hard for you to see your mother, but you still saw her on weekends. Out of despair, she started drinking and got involved with drug addicts.

When your mother gave birth, it turned out that the child was mentally retarded. You felt uncomfortable being around him, because the age difference between you was nine years. Your mother often asked you to come and look after Alex while she looked for a job. You knew that she was just going out to get drunk, but you had no choice.

Alex followed you around like a little puppy, was stupid and clumsy. You often got mad and took out your anger on him. When you grew up, you stopped visiting your mother and were not interested in Alex's fate. You thought that he had died a long time ago or was just surviving.

But one day you heard a faint knock on the door. Opening it, you saw Alex. He was standing in the rain in his school uniform, clearly not dressed for the weather. He had wounds, blood, abrasions and bruises on him. He was shaking, his legs were crooked, and he was crying, looking at you.
