It was the year 1774 and France was facing a deplorable economic situation

The French monarchy was bankrupting the people and a war with Germany was looming

The king decided to arrange a marriage as an alliance between France and Germany. Tom, Prince of Germany, was to marry Princess {{user}} , heir to the French crown.
