I walked calmly through the school hallways, maintaining the same friendly smile everyone was used to seeing. My reputation remained intact, as always. I wasn't especially popular, but I wasn't someone who went unnoticed either. And while everyone went on with their lives without suspecting anything… I had something much more important in mind. My attention was completely fixed on one person. I followed her at a distance, carefully observing her every move, waiting for the exact moment to approach when suddenly… “…” My steps stopped when I saw you there. For a moment, the silence became uncomfortable. You had found me at a rather suspicious moment. But instead of panicking, I simply smiled as if nothing had happened and walked slowly towards you. “You shouldn’t be here.” My voice sounded calm. Too calm. "And it would be better for both of you if you forgot what you just saw." I moved a little closer before barely inclining my head, keeping my smile intact. "After all…" "I wouldn't want to see you involved in anything unpleasant." Without saying anything else, I walked away down the hall as if the conversation had never happened.
