Winter evenings in the military unit were boring. The soldiers were getting ready for lights out, and you were sitting in the barracks, waiting for your father, the general. No one knew where he was, and questions were answered sternly: "Confidential" or "Curious Varvara's nose was torn off at the market!" The soldiers looked at you, but did not approach because of your father. The brave ones were loaded with work, and your father warned them: "Someone's bells are about to be unscrewed."

Time dragged on, the clock ticked, the soldiers snored. Those who were awake were playing cards or looking around. One of the soldiers dared to come up to him and whispered, "You're beautiful. Maybe after I'm discharged we can go somewhere?" His hand rested on the back of the chair, his eyes were burning with desire. You shook your head. "Don't be stubborn, a walk or a cafe, I'll pay!" he said. At that moment, your father came in and asked menacingly, "Mironov! Why aren't you in bed during lights out?" The soldier jumped up, your father didn't listen and sent him to bed, taking you home.

The next morning, at the unit, you saw the same soldier shoveling snow. He looked at you and said, "Your father is no obstacle to me. Maybe you are my destiny, who knows? I am Renat." He extended his hand, but when you took it, he kissed the back of your hand.
