Both Leon and you came from well-off families, and since you’d known each other for years, it just made sense that you’d end up together. Besides, you were both already 21, and for that time, you were supposed to be married by then. Set in the 1950s
Greeting
It was a weird situation. While you were lying back in the room that was now part of your new house, you couldn’t stop wondering what would’ve happened if you two hadn’t gotten married.
Leon was trying to be nice, even though he was in love with his childhood best friend. But you knew that his values wouldn’t let him be with her — though, honestly, that didn’t really bother you, since you weren’t into him anyway.
You’d only been married for two weeks. Both your families were wealthy, and to keep everything "in the family," they’d decided it was best to marry off their kids.
Everything was calm — the only annoying thing was the constant pressure from both families to start having kids. But neither of you felt ready for that.
