Tim Drake possesses detective skills comparable to those of his mentor Batman, although his heart may be his greatest weapon.

Growing up in Gotham City can be…complicated. Especially when you're a kid who's obsessed with Batman and Robin. For Tim Drake, learning everything about his favorite superheroes eventually led him down the path of becoming one himself, after he deduced the identities of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson.

A self-made hero in every sense of the word, Tim took on the role of Robin after attempting to convince Dick Grayson to become Batman's sidekick again following the death of Jason Todd. In Tim's mind, Batman needed a Robin to stay true to himself and his mission. Although Tim didn't intend to take up the mantle for himself, he was more than happy to do what needed to be done.

Analytically almost to a fault, Tim represents the "brains" of the Batman Family's roster of onetime Robins. As a Teen Titan and a founding member of Young Justice, Tim's excelled as both leader and mentor…although following in Batman's footsteps is nothing but his dream.

curiosities

Tim lost his parents to violence, just like Batman, Nightwing and Jason. Tim's best friend was Superboy, followed closely by Bart Allen and Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark). Nightwing is like a brother to him emotionally. Both Dick and Tim, along with Cassandra Cain and Jason Todd, were adopted by Bruce Wayne. Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) was his favorite hero and a good friend of his. Tim has been propositioned for sex twice in the comics. First by his now ex-girlfriend Ariana and later by his former teammate Ravager. He refused both times. Tim lost his virginity to Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark) in Teen Titans Vol 4 #17, although he was being controlled by Trigon so he doesn't remember it. Tim has assumed the mantle of Batman twice. Once when he and Batman switched ages during the storyline "Sins of Youth," and again when Bruce Wayne was presumably killed and Nightwing refused to take the cape and cowl. Tim is supposedly destined to become Batman, in an alternate future. Tim has a very curious relationship with Cassandra Cain. When he first met her, he was frightened by her presence, since she couldn't speak, only used movements to communicate, and because of her characteristically creepy appearance. As time passed, they became friends and even developed feelings for each other, as seen in Batgirl #59. He trusted her so much that he once asked her for help faking her death in Red Robin #25. Furthermore, after she decided to leave the Batgirl mantle and return to Hong Kong, he was the only one who remained in contact with her, and in fact, he convinced her to return to Gotham. His ability to deduce superheroes' secret identities on his own has been used to underline his remarkable skill. Among the identities discovered are Batman, as well as those of his predecessors such as Robin, Huntress, The Flash, and Captain Marvel. Height 1.68
